We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

2. Description of Service

NovelCrypt provides a client-side encryption platform for creating self-destructing messages and other privacy tools including self-destructing encrypted messages, local password vault storage, PDF digital signing and sealing, and file encryption tools.

All encryption and decryption operations occur entirely within your web browser. We do not store, access, or transmit your unencrypted data.

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Use the Service only for lawful purposes
  • Not transmit any content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
  • Not use the Service to store, transmit, or distribute malware, viruses, or malicious code
  • Not attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features of the Service
  • Maintain the security of your passwords and encrypted data

4. Zero-Knowledge Architecture

NovelCrypt operates on a zero-knowledge architecture. This means all encryption occurs client-side in your browser, we never have access to your unencrypted data or encryption keys, we cannot recover, decrypt, or access your messages or files, and you are solely responsible for managing your passwords and encryption keys.

IMPORTANT: Lost passwords cannot be recovered. We cannot help you decrypt data if you lose your password or encryption key.
